How EGIS Works

Four steps from today to powered. Your design starts online — and is proven on site before anything is installed.

1

List your appliances

Tell EGIS Genesis what you run — fridge, fans, AC, pumps. How many watts, how many hours. Five minutes on your phone.

2

Genesis sizes what you actually need

It works out the power your list really draws, then the panels, the battery and the inverter to meet it. No guesswork, and no oversizing you would pay for.

3

We measure, then we install

Our energy logger sits on your distribution board for three days to two weeks and records what the building really does. We design from the recording, not the list. The logger is ours — we fit it, we read it, and we take it away again.

4

We watch it free for 1 to 3 months

Monitored daily against the design — one, two or three months by the size of your system — before it is handed over. After that, monitoring continues only if you want it — the system is yours and runs without us.

1

Site check

a call or a visit

We confirm your package fits: from your appliance list for a home, or a 3–4 day measurement for a large site.

2

Design validation

about 5 days

Your design and one price, in writing. You may stop here and owe nothing more.

3

Procurement

lead times

Ordered only once the Contract Document is signed and the procurement payment is in.

4

Installation

under 2 weeks

Nothing is energised until the pre-energisation checks are complete and passed.

5

Verification

1–3 months

Watched daily, free, with defects corrected before handover.

6

Handover

12-month workmanship

Acceptance certificate, as-built drawings, settings, operating guide and warranties.

Every phase is written into the agreement you sign. Read the full method in our Terms of Service.

On the right site, wind works when the panels cannot

Panels fall away under harmattan dust and through the rains — often exactly when the wind picks up, and it keeps working after dark. But wind is a site question before it is an equipment question, and we never quote one off a website.

What an engineer checks →

Every EGIS system is monitored for you through its free monitoring period — one to three months, by the size of your system — at no extra cost — we watch it daily, report monthly, and correct anything that drifts before we hand it over.

After handover, keep the eyes on it with EGIS Monitor, Care or Care Plus — a monthly subscription to the service, not a purchase.

What is yours, and what is ours. The power system is yours outright from handover: the panels, the inverter, the batteries, the protection, the wiring and the mounting, with their warranties. The EGIS monitoring device is ours — it is never sold, it is not part of the system price, and it stays on the wall only while a subscription is being paid. Stop the subscription and we come and take the device; nothing else leaves with it, and your system runs exactly as before.

  • Live power-flow view — where every watt is coming from
  • Daily, weekly and monthly energy reports
  • Blackout alerts and system-health notifications
  • Share access with family or your support team

Plans and what each one covers are set out in our Terms of Service.
